Managing members in your premium Nubric organization

Use this guide when you need to review or manage the members of a premium organization in Nubric. Organization Admins can invite new members, assign or change their roles, and remove members who should no longer have access. Non-premium organizations use a different membership model: all members have the same management permissions, and users can join without an invitation.

Following this guide, you will be able to control who belongs to your premium organization and whether each member has the Teacher or Admin role.

Before you begin

Requirements

• An active premium organization in Nubric.
• The Admin role in the organization.
• The email address of any person you want to invite.

Steps

Open My center

Sign in at https://nubric.com/ and open My center. This page displays the premium organization’s members, including their roles and recent activity. Teachers can also view this information, but only Admins can manage membership and roles.

Invite a new member

Select Invite members and enter the email address of the person you want to invite. Choose the role that the member should receive:

Teacher

Teachers can use the features available through the organization and view its members. They cannot invite or manage other members.

Admin

Admins can invite new members, change existing members’ roles, and remove members from the organization. Select Send invitation to complete the invitation.

The pending invitation appears when the recipient signs in to Nubric using the invited email address. Nubric also sends an invitation email, which provides an alternative way to access it. The invited person does not appear in the member list until they accept the invitation.

Change a member's role

In My center, locate the member whose role you want to change and open their available management options. Select the role you want to assign. Admins can change a Teacher to an Admin or another Admin to a Teacher.

The new role determines whether the member can manage other members of the organization. The last remaining Admin cannot be assigned the Teacher role until another Admin has been appointed.

Remove a member

In My center, locate the member you want to remove and open their available management options. Select Remove member, and then confirm the action in the confirmation dialog.

The user is immediately removed from the organization. They do not receive an email or an in-app notification informing them that they have been removed. The last remaining Admin cannot be removed until another Admin has been appointed.

Verify it worked

• For a new invitation, ask the recipient to confirm that the pending invitation appears after they sign in to Nubric. Nubric does not currently provide Admins with a list of pending invitations.
• After the recipient accepts, confirm that they appear in My center with the assigned role.
• After changing a role, confirm that the updated role appears next to the member.
• After removing a member, confirm that they no longer appear in the organization's member list.

Options and variations

If you need to share administrative responsibilities

Assign the Admin role to another member. Multiple members can be Admins. Admins can invite and remove members and change their roles, so assign this role only to people who should manage the organization.

If you want to invite someone who previously declined

Send the person a new invitation. A declined invitation cannot be accepted later.

If the recipient is not ready to join

They can leave the invitation pending and respond later. Invitations to premium organizations do not expire.

If a member wants to leave voluntarily

Members can use Leave Center to leave the organization without being removed by an Admin. The last remaining Admin cannot leave until another Admin has been assigned.

Common errors

The invited person does not appear in My center

Invited users appear in the member list only after accepting the invitation. Ask the recipient to sign in to Nubric using the account associated with the email address to which the invitation was sent, and check whether the pending invitation appears.

You cannot review pending invitations

Nubric does not currently provide Admins with a list of pending invitations. Ask the recipient to confirm whether the invitation appears after signing in. Nubric also sends an invitation email as an alternative way to access it.

You cannot invite or manage members

Confirm that you have the Admin role in a premium organization. Teachers can view the organization's members, but cannot invite or remove members or change their roles.

A member has the wrong role

Open the member's management options in My center and assign the correct role.
