Before you begin
Requirements
- Sign in to Nubric.
- To publish a quiz, you need an existing quiz in My Quizzes.
Applies to
- Nubric users who want to find, reuse, or share quizzes with the wider Nubric community.
Unlike the Organization Content Bank, quizzes in the Public Content Bank are available to the wider Nubric community rather than being restricted to members of a specific organization.
For a guided introduction with a video example, see Get started with the Nubric Content Bank.
Steps
Open the Public Content Bank
Open Content Bank from the Nubric navigation menu, and then select Public. You can also access the Content Bank by selecting Discover quizzes on the My Quizzes page.
The Public option displays quizzes shared with the wider Nubric community.

If you belong to an organization with a PRO plan, you can also select My center to access quizzes shared privately within your active organization. See more in Use the Organization Content Bank.
Browse and find quizzes
Browse the available quizzes or use the search and filtering tools to find relevant materials. Each quiz entry provides information such as:
- Quiz title.
- Number of questions.
- Total score.
- Author's name.
- Publication date.
- Language.
- Sharing location.
Use the keyword search to find quizzes related to a particular topic. You can also open Filters to narrow the results by language.

If no quizzes match the search or selected filters, Nubric displays a message indicating that there are no quizzes to display.

Preview a quiz
Click Preview next to a quiz to open its Quiz overview page. You can review its content and try its questions before deciding whether to save it or create an editable copy.
At the top of the page, you can see the quiz title, number of questions, total score, and language. You can also use the bookmark icon to save the quiz or select Edit quiz to create your own copy.
The page has two tabs:
- Overview: Displays the quiz summary and its list of questions. Expand a question to review its content.
- Preview: Lets you try the questions and check how answers are evaluated.
To review and test a quiz:
- In Overview, expand the questions you want to review.
- Switch to Preview.
- Use the question navigation arrows to move between questions.
- Enter or select an answer, then click Submit to check the result and feedback.
Previewing does not add the quiz to your workspace or create an editable copy.
Save a quiz
When you find a quiz you want to keep for later, click its bookmark icon
. You can save it directly from the Content Bank list or from the top of its Quiz overview page.
Nubric adds the quiz to My Quizzes > Saved quizzes. Saving keeps the shared quiz in your collection without creating an editable copy.
To find a saved quiz:
- Open My Quizzes from the navigation menu.
- Select Saved quizzes.
- Find the quiz and click Preview to review it, or Edit to create your own editable copy.
Create an editable copy
To adapt a quiz's questions, answers, or settings, create your own editable copy. You do not need to save the quiz first.
- Click Edit next to a quiz in the Content Bank, or Edit quiz at the top of its Quiz overview page. You can also click Edit from Saved quizzes.
- Nubric creates an independent copy, adds it to My Quizzes > Created quizzes, and opens it in the quiz editor.
- Rename the quiz and adapt its questions, answers, or settings to your students' needs.
You can return to your copy from Created quizzes, alongside quizzes you built yourself.
Saving and editing are different actions. The bookmark icon adds the shared quiz to Saved quizzes. Edit creates an independent copy in Created quizzes. Changes to your copy do not modify the quiz shared in the Public Content Bank or copies created by other users.
Publish your own quiz
To share one of your own quizzes with the Nubric community:
- Open My Quizzes > Created quizzes and locate the quiz you want to share.
- Open its Share menu and select Share with my peers.
- Under General access, choose Public Content Bank as the quiz's visibility setting.
- Close the dialog.

The quiz becomes available under Content Bank > Public, where other Nubric users can discover, preview, and save it.
Verify it worked
- After opening a quiz: You can switch between Overview to review its questions and Preview to try them and check the result and feedback.
- After saving a quiz: The bookmark icon appears selected, and a confirmation message indicates that the quiz has been saved successfully. You can find it under My Quizzes > Saved quizzes.
- After creating an editable copy: The copy opens in the quiz editor and appears under My Quizzes > Created quizzes.
- After publishing your own quiz: You can find it under Content Bank > Public.
Options and variations
Change where a quiz is shared
To change a quiz's visibility, return to Share with my peers and select a different option under General access:
- Private: The quiz is not shared with other users.
- Share with link: Users with the link can access the quiz.
- Center Content Bank: Members of the active organization can find the quiz under My center.
- Public Content Bank: Nubric users can find the quiz under Public.
A quiz can be published in only one content bank at a time. Changing from Public Content Bank to Center Content Bank removes it from the Public Content Bank and publishes it in the Organization Content Bank instead. Selecting Private or Share with link also removes the quiz from the Public Content Bank.
Choose a content bank
Both content banks provide the same workflows for browsing, previewing, saving, and publishing. The difference is who can access the shared content.
| Content bank | Visibility | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Public Content Bank | Wider Nubric community | Nubric users |
| Organization Content Bank | Members of the active organization only | Organizations with a PRO plan |
Use the Public Content Bank to make a quiz available to the wider Nubric community. Use the Organization Content Bank for materials intended only for colleagues in your organization.
For more information, see Use the Organization Content Bank.
Content availability
A quiz published in the Public Content Bank remains linked to its original quiz and author. It is removed from the bank if:
- The author deletes the original quiz.
- The author deletes their Nubric account.
Independent copies that other users have already created in their personal workspaces remain available and editable.
Common errors
No quizzes match your search
Try a different keyword or adjust the language filter to broaden the results.
You cannot edit a saved quiz
Saving bookmarks the shared quiz without making it editable. Click Edit from Saved quizzes or the Content Bank, or Edit quiz from the Quiz overview page, to create an editable copy.
You cannot find your edited copy
Open My Quizzes > Created quizzes. Copies created by editing a Content Bank quiz appear here. Saved quizzes contains the shared quizzes you bookmarked.
Your quiz does not appear under Public
Open Share with my peers and check that General access is set to Public Content Bank. Personal quizzes are not shared automatically, and selecting another visibility option removes a quiz from the Public Content Bank.
Your quiz disappears from the other content bank
A quiz can have only one general access setting. Selecting Public Content Bank removes the quiz from the Organization Content Bank, and vice versa.
