Grading functions
Reading time: 1minWirisQuizzes offers a wide range of built-in options for comparing the student's answer with the correct one—such as tolerance for decimal digits, unit handling, simplification, and more. However, in some cases, you may need to define a custom rule for what counts as correct. That’s where grading functions come in.
For example, to accept a broader range of equivalent polynomials beyond just (x – 2)(x + 3), you can define your own rule. Simply go to Validation options > Comparison with student answer, select Custom grading function, and enter your logic.
Thus, any polynomial with roots 2 and -3 will be accepted. You can also provide detailed feedback explaining it.
