Assign Learning Lemur quizzes through Google Classroom (without the add-on)
Reading time: 1minIf your institution supports Google Classroom add-ons, you may prefer using the Learning Lemur add-on for a more integrated workflow. Please take a look at Learning Lemur Add-on for Google Classroom.
When to use this: Use this method if your institution does not support Google Classroom add-ons, or if you prefer managing quizzes directly from learninglemur.com while still assigning them through Google Classroom.
What you'll achieve: You will create a quiz in Learning Lemur and assign it to your students in Google Classroom without installing the add-on.
Before you begin
Requirements
- A Google account with a Teacher role in Google Classroom
- Access to Learning Lemur via https://learninglemur.com/
- At least one quiz created (or ready to create)
Steps
Create or open your quiz — Prepare the content in Learning Lemur
- Go to learninglemur.com
- Log in with your Google account.
- Create a new quiz or open an existing one
- Make sure the quiz is ready to be assigned
Select "Assign to my students" — Send the quiz to Google Classroom
- Open the quiz
- Click the Assign to my students option
- Select the Google Classroom class where you want to assign the quiz
- Confirm the assignment
Finalize in Google Classroom — Review and publish the assignment
- Open Google Classroom
- Locate the draft assignment created by Learning Lemur
- Review title, instructions, and due date
- Click Assign
Verify it worked
- The quiz appears as an assignment in your selected Google Classroom course.
- Students can open the assignment and access the Learning Lemur quiz.
Options and variations
- If you need to edit the quiz after assigning it, make changes in Learning Lemur. Updated content will apply when students open the quiz.
- If you teach multiple classes, repeat the “Assign to my students” step for each class.
Common errors
- The assignment does not appear in Google Classroom: Make sure you selected the correct class and completed the confirmation step.
- Authorization error when assigning: Log out of Learning Lemur, then log back in with your Google account, then try again.
- Students cannot access the quiz: Verify that the quiz is published and not in draft mode.
