Reading time: 1minStudents answer this question type by choosing one (or sometimes multiple) options from a list. You can define variables and use them in the Question text and Feedback. These variables can also be used in the answer choices.
Note
Moodle now allows questions to have negative scoring, so you can set grades in a way that discourages guessing. However, keep in mind that some web browsers do not allow a choice to be deselected once selected.
To create the example above, we will generate a (random) polynomial and provide three answer choices for the degree, also randomly generated. For convenience, we will set the first answer as the correct one — but don't worry, the system will automatically shuffle the options for the student.
