                      Exploring the My Quizzes page

                      Reading time: 2min

The My Quizzes page is the main workspace where teachers create, organize, and manage their quizzes in LearningLemur. It provides access to quizzes you have created as well as quizzes you have saved from the Content Bank.

Understanding this page helps you manage your teaching materials efficiently and quickly access the quizzes you want to edit, preview, or share.

                      What It Is

The My Quizzes page is the central management area for quiz content in LearningLemur. It acts as a personal workspace where teachers can:

                      • Create new quizzes.
                      • Organize existing quizzes.
                      • Access quizzes saved from the Content Bank.
                      • Preview and edit quizzes.

From this page, users can manage both their own materials and the quizzes they have chosen to reuse from the community.

                      Why It Matters

Teachers often work with multiple quizzes across different courses, topics, or levels of difficulty. Without a centralized workspace, managing these materials can quickly become confusing. The My Quizzes page solves this by providing a structured overview of all quiz materials associated with your account.

                      • Organize teaching materials.
                      • Reuse previously created quizzes.
                      • Access saved quizzes from the Content Bank.

As a result, teachers can maintain a clear overview of their content and quickly access the quizzes they want to edit, preview, or reuse.

                      How It Works

The My Quizzes page organizes quizzes into sections that reflect how they were obtained or created.

                      Stage 1: Creating quizzes.
Users can create new quizzes directly from this page using the Create New Quiz option. When a new quiz is created, it appears in the workspace's Created Quizzes section.

                      Create new quiz modal

                      Stage 2: Managing created quizzes.
The Created Quizzes section contains quizzes that the user has created.

From here, users can open a quiz to edit its questions, preview its content, or share it with students and colleagues. Each quiz acts as a container that holds one or more questions.

                      Managing created quizzes

                      Stage 3: Accessing saved quizzes.
The Saved Quizzes section contains quizzes that were discovered in the Content Bank and saved for later use.

Saved quizzes remain linked to the original public version but can be copied and edited when needed.

                      Key Rules or Behaviours

                      • New quizzes always appear in the Created Quizzes section.
                      • Quizzes saved from the Content Bank appear in the Saved Quizzes section.
                      • Public quizzes cannot be edited directly. A copy must be created before modifications can be made.
                      • Each quiz functions as a container that groups together one or more questions.

                      Examples

                      Example 1:
A teacher creates several quizzes for different algebra lessons. Each new quiz appears in the Created Quizzes section, making it easy for the teacher to reopen and update them later.

                      Example 2:
A teacher discovers a quiz about fractions in the Content Bank and saves it. The quiz appears in the Saved Quizzes section, where it can be copied and adapted for a specific class.

                      Common Misunderstandings

Misconception: Saving a quiz from the Content Bank immediately creates an editable copy.
Clarification: Saving a quiz adds it to your workspace, but you must create a copy before editing it.
