Why liquid volumes don’t add up and what can I do?
Reading time: 1minWhen mixing liquids, volume doesn't always add up. For example, this happens when mixing water and ethanol. Remember that if you are dealing with such liquids, the amount of diluent calculated with the Concentration Calculator will not be correct. In such a case we recommend you to use the measuring cylinder to fill the diluent precisely till the desired volume. Alternatively, you can measure such liquids by weight for getting higher precision results.
