Using the Google Classroom Add-on
Reading time: 1minLearningLemur now offers a Google Classroom add-on that makes assigning quizzes even easier. With the add-on, you can create and attach quizzes directly from inside your Google Classroom assignment workflow—without ever leaving the Google Classroom site.
1. What is the add-on?
- The add-on integrates LearningLemur into the Google Classroom assignment editor.
- Instead of switching to learninglemur.com, you can open the add-on while creating an assignment, select or create a quiz, and attach it directly to your class.
- This saves time and keeps everything in one place, making it a seamless part of your daily teaching workflow.
2. Who can use it?
Important: The Google Classroom add-on is available only for schools with specific Google for Education paid plans. See Google's documentation to know more.
- If your educational center account is subscribed to one of these plans, you will be able to install and use the LearningLemur add-on.
- If your educational center account is not subscribed to one of these plans, you will not be able to install the LearningLemur add-on. Don’t worry— you can still use LearningLemur exactly as before:
- Go to learninglemur.com and log in with your Google account.
- Create your quizzes.
- Share them with your students via Google Classroom using the “Assign to my students” option.
- This workflow works for all teachers, regardless of whether their Google plan supports add-ons.
3. How to install the add-on
There are two ways to install LearningLemur’s add-on:
A.From Google Classroom
- Open Google Classroom.
- Start creating a new assignment.
- Click Add-ons (puzzle piece icon) and search for LearningLemur.
- Install the add-on if your Google plan allows it.

B.From the Google Workspace Marketplace
- Go to the Google Workspace Marketplace
- Search for LearningLemur.
- Click Install and follow the instructions.
- Once installed, the add-on will appear inside Google Classroom when creating assignments.
