interpolate(List, List)

Given two lists X equals left curly bracket x subscript 1 comma... comma x subscript n right curly bracket and Y equals left curly bracket y subscript 1 comma... comma y subscript n right curly bracket, returns a polynomial of degree n minus 1 such that p left parenthesis x subscript i right parenthesis equals y subscript i.

interpolate(List, List, Identifier)

Given two lists X equals left curly bracket x subscript 1 comma... comma x subscript n right curly bracket and Y equals left curly bracket y subscript 1 comma... comma y subscript n right curly bracket and an identifier t, returns a polynomial p left parenthesis t right parenthesis of degree n minus 1 such that p left parenthesis x subscript i right parenthesis equals y subscript i.

interpolate(Point, ..., Point)

Given a set of points P subscript i equals open parentheses x subscript i comma y subscript i close parentheses, i equals 1... n, returns a polynomial of degree n minus 1 such that p left parenthesis x subscript i right parenthesis equals y subscript i.

interpolate(Point, ..., Point, Identifier)

Given a set of points P subscript i equals open parentheses x subscript i comma y subscript i close parentheses, i equals 1... n, and an identifier t, returns a polynomial p left parenthesis t right parenthesis of degree n minus 1 such that p left parenthesis x subscript i right parenthesis equals y subscript i.
